Identifying a Shielding Patient

To identify if a patient is on the COVID 19 shielded patient list, access their Summary Care Record where the information is displayed. To do so:

  1. From Pharmacy Manager, select the patient in the usual way from either:
    • Patient search, or
    • The Dispensary screen .
  2. The Find Patient screen displays. Select the required patient and select Details :

  1. The Patient Details screen displays, select the Medication tab and select View patient’s SCR .
Note - You must log into Pharmacy Manager using your Smartcard and have one of the appropriate permissions to in order to access SCR’s from Pharmacy Manager. If you are not logged in with your Smartcard, or do not have the appropriate permissions, the Summary Care Record option is not available.

  1. If the patient is on the on the COVID 19 shielded patient list, the Covid -19 indicator flags are present screen displays. Select OK to access the patient's SCR.

  1. The SCR displays and displays the COVID 19 Risk Indicator as shown below:
